Manufacture

There are three main methods of vinyl production which we use:

• Standard/Solid vinyl Cutting - The most cost effective and popular method

• Digital Print and Cut - A versatile solution allowing fine detail to be produced onto (normally) white vinyl.

• Thermal Print and Cut - My favourite method of production, again a colour solution as above, extremely hardwearing with bright colours, its main disadvantage is its lack of detail for photographic work, ideal for all spot colour work. Excellent for producing specific specialist graphics such as waterproof labels.

This has the advantage of being able to print in White, Gold or Silver.

Vinyl

There are many different types of vinyl and we will discuss some of the most popular types we use below.

There are also specialist products available for certain markets such as an ‘ultra-destructible’ vinyl which once applied is almost impossible to remove, ideal for the security market/tagging, this can also be printed onto allowing the customer to include contact details, company logo etc.

Another popular security product is the ‘Void’ vinyl which is used predominantly in the electronics industry to secure cases and hard drives, you know the style, when its peeled off it cannot be stuck back down leaving a 'Void' signature in its place.

Re-Useable Vinyl

This is a brand new product for us which we are very excited about, this is a printable vinyl which allows the user to remove the sticker and use it again, it can be used inside or outside, ideal for interior walls, promoting your business at specific times of the year.

One Way Vision Vinyl

Again a new product for us offering fantastic opportunities for both the commercial and private customer. This vinyl is designed to be attached directly to your window, the design is printed onto the outside of the vinyl, allowing the user to see through the glass, whilst preventing prying eyes. Ideal for commercial vehicles to advertise your business or to simply use as a privacy shield. Or why not attach it to the side windows of your car with any design printed on to it, ideal as a sunblock.

Polymeric Calendered Vinyl

Our vinyl of choice, This is available in a wide range of colours and is suitable for most types of external signage with an average life of 5-7 years, this tends to be the main choice for professional designers/sign makers. This product is easy to weed and significantly reduces blade wear. This is a flexible substrate allowing conformability over a wide range of surfaces, making intricate detailed work possible. Available in a variety of roll widths, we tend to use 610mm, but hold some stock in 1220mm as well.

Digital Print Vinyl

This is generally supplied in a roll width of 720mm or 1220mm and meets the same standards of the vinyl above, there is a wide range of other media available as well including banner and canvas material, with the development of new inks for these machines, there is no longer a need to worry about UV stability and its resistance to natural outdoor elements.
